I had a 2 week induction week with the training team. I can’t begin to explain how helpful this was. Within the sessions, the senior pharmacist went through the roles and responsibilities expected by myself, working with the GPs and other professionals. There was a few case studies for me to look through and see how I would approach it. It gave me a good indication of how much I understood but also seeing how another professional works through it too. The induction included training to use the system, how to carry out searches, add medicines, repeat etc. If you are new to primary care, the induction programme is very useful.”
