Core Prescribing Solutions proud to support Epilepsy Action

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

At Core Prescribing Solutions, we believe healthcare works best when the right people have the right knowledge at the right time. That is why we are genuinely thrilled to support Epilepsy Action through a recent donation.

Epilepsy Action plays a vital role across the UK, supporting people living with epilepsy, their families, and the healthcare professionals who care for them. Their work improves understanding, reduces stigma, and helps ensure people with epilepsy receive safe, informed, and compassionate care.

Supporting better epilepsy care in primary care

Our donation will directly support Epilepsy Action’s Epilepsy Training for Primary Care Nurses e-learning course.

This is a focused 2-3 hour course designed specifically for nurses working in primary care. It provides the practical knowledge and confidence needed to:

  • Carry out effective Epilepsy Treatment Reviews
  • Support structured Epilepsy Care Planning
  • Understand seizure types, treatment options, and safety considerations
  • Deliver more consistent, patient-centred care

For many people living with epilepsy, primary care is the first and most frequent point of contact with the NHS. Ensuring nurses feel confident and well-equipped in this area can make a real difference to patient outcomes and ongoing quality of care.

A word from our CEO

Supporting Epilepsy Action felt like a very natural fit for us. Primary care teams are under huge pressure, and high-quality, practical training makes a real difference. By helping nurses across primary care feel confident when reviewing and supporting patients with epilepsy, this programme directly improves care and outcomes where it matters most.

Why this matters to us

At Core Prescribing Solutions, we work closely with GP practices, Primary Care Networks (PCNs), and wider healthcare teams. We see first-hand how important it is for clinicians to have access to training that is practical, relevant, and easy to fit around busy workloads

Supporting education for primary care nurses aligns strongly with our values. Better-trained teams lead to better reviews, safer prescribing decisions, and more meaningful conversations with patients.

A shared commitment to long-term value

Epilepsy Action’s work reflects something we care deeply about, building long-term value in healthcare rather than short-term fixes. By investing in education and professional development, this training helps strengthen care today while improving outcomes for years to come.

We are proud to play a small part in supporting this important programme and to stand alongside Epilepsy Action in their mission to ensure no one is held back by epilepsy.

Thank you

We would like to thank Epilepsy Action for the incredible work they do every day, and for giving us the opportunity to support such a meaningful initiative.
